The police in Odendaalsrus has arrested two suspects for dealing with drugs and Nyaope.
Police spokesperson in Lejweleputswa spokesperson captain Stephen Thakeng, says the Welkom Public Order Policing (POP) received a tip-off and two alleged drug dealers were arrested.
“The police followed up information and approached a house in K6 Section of Kutloanong, Odendaalsrus,” says Thakeng.
“The following drugs were found and seized ten quarters and half Mandrax tablets,” Thakeng added.
Thakeng said, a first suspect aged 33-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of drugs.
“Members [the police] proceeded with visible policing when they noticed a suspicious looking man at a tavern. He was approached and searched, the following and was found with 30 Nyaope drugs, 15 Crystal Meth sachets and cash,” details Thakeng.
The duo are expected are appear before the Odendaalsrus Magistrate court on Monday, August 5.
