A 22-year-old woman from Thabong, Free State is struggling to cope physically and emotionally after she was raped in a toilet during a birthday party.
The Thabong SAPS has launched a manhunt of four suspects who gang-raped a defenseless woman in the early hours of morning at about 5am, on Sunday, September 4.
SAPS spokesperson captain Stephen Thakeng says the victim was at a party and was hijacked by four men who sexually harassed the victim.
“One male person told her he loved her and instructed the woman to go to the toilet and he followed her. He raped her and three other male suspects took turns in raping her,” says Thakeng.
“After this rape ordeal, the incident was reported to Thabong police station and a case of rape was registered for further investigation,” Thakeng adds.
The four suspects are still on the loose and manhunt continues.
Anyone with information leading to their arrests is urged to contact colonel lieutenant Kedibone Gopane on 082 442 1372 or to reach out to the police crime stop number on 0860 10111.
