Welkom Public Order Policing Reaction Team seasoned officers’ commitment leads to the arrest of three drug dealers on Wednesday, 17 November 2021.
During their mission to ensure a drug-free Phahameng for citizens, members received a tip-off about someone selling drugs in Leballo street.
Police noticed suspicious movements at the identified house. They approached the house and found a 44-year-old owner who is a known drug dealer in Phahameng. Members requested and received permission to search the house.
They found and seized 16 full Mandrax tableslts; nine halves; 42 quarters; and cash amounting to R361.
Police arrested and interrogated the suspect.
Thereafter they visited few other houses selling drugs.
Authorities found a 33-year-old man in possession of 200 full Mandrax tablets hidden inside a hole in his shack.
Furthermore, these seasoned police officers approached a house in Ivory Park and found a 34-year-old woman in possession of three full Mandrax tablets; a quarter; and cash amounting to R340.
Lejweleputswa District Commissioner, Major General Lerato Molale applauded arresting officers for a job well done.
