Hennenman post office robbed of large sum of money, manhunt launched!

The police have activated search hunt after four suspects fled away with undisclosed amount of cash after they robbed Hennenman post office at gunpoint yesterday at about 11am.

Providing further insight, Lejweleputswa SAPS spokesperson, captain Stephen Thakeng explains that four armed suspects barged into the post office and held the branch manager and his female colleague hostage.

“They [employees] were instructed to open the aluminum door for them to enter. They were then tied up with cable ties and forced inside the bathrooms. 

“Undisclosed amount of cash was robbed from the safes and the victims personal belongings were robbed. No vehicle was seen and the suspects left the scene on foot,” Thakeng said.

Thakeng says the police have registered a case of business robbery for further investigations.

“Anyone with information leading to the arrests of these suspects is urged to contact detective sergeant Lehlohonolo Ramaphiri of Provincial Organized Crime at cellphone number 065 629 6409.
