Sixteen-year-old Naledi Sebeho, who went missing after she claimed that she was accompanying her cousin last year on December 31, 2023, has been found alive.
According to the police spokesperson Loraine Earle, it is alleged that Naledi was found unharmed in the early hours of Tuesday, January 23.
“Naledi went missing on 31 December 2023, at about 11:30. She left home escorting her cousin and never came back and today she was reunited with her family,” said Earle.
During her disappearance, it is alleged that her mother was looking for her at the last place (cousin’s house) where she said she was going for New Year’s Eve.
She was last seen wearing a black and white crop top, black and white short pants and a maroon Carvel.
Naledi communicated with her mother on Sunday, January 21, 2024 – four weeks after she went AWOL. Since then, the teenager didn’t engage with her mother until she was found on Tuesday, January 23.
The Zamdela police have sent their gratitude to the community for their assistance in locating Naledi Sebeho.
