The Welkom police have launched a manhunt after mentally challenged 15-year-old girl was abducted in Thabong.
According to the information received from the Thabong police station, the missing child has been identified as Keithene Moilwa.
The teenager is reportedly mentally challenged and she was playing outside her home when she went missing.
In a released media statement, the statement read as follows:
“On the 8 December 2021 at about 16:00 the child who is mentally challenged was at home when she went outside to play and when the mother went to check on her, she was nowhere to be found.
The incident was reported to the Police and a manhunt was launched. She was wearing a purple push-in shoes and a maroon sleeveless dress,” statement read.
The police said a missing file register has been opened for further investigation.
