An intelligence driven operation led to the removal of an alleged dagga dealer from the streets of Welkom.
On Friday, 10 December, members of counter narcotics and Welkom K9 unit received a tip-off about an African man dealing in dagga in Haarlem street in Dagbreek, Welkom.
The information was opertionalised and a house was approached and a search was conducted.
Swazi dagga which weighed 369 grams with the street value of R1 500 was seized.
A 30 year old man was arrested and he is facing a charge of being in possession of dagga.
He will appear before the Welkom Magistrate Court on Monday, 13 December 2021.
