Search for missing child continues in Thabong

An eight-year-old, Bokamoso Shebe is still missing after being allegedly abducted on her way from school by unknown man in Thabong, Welkom.

It is alleged, an unidentified man kidnapped the lass on her way from Mantshebo Primary School, and called the family to demand R50 000 in bid to bring the child back home.

The Thabong local SAPS, was alerted for a missing child, after posts circulated in social media platforms.

According to Bokamoso’s mother, the child was abducted by a man who allegedly demanded an odd fee from the family to release the daughter.

“In a phone call with him, he told me that he will only return the child to me, if I give him R50 000,” said the distraught mother.

She continued: “After telling him to give my child a phone, so I can talk to her, he said I must send the money or else he will not talk to me about anything, he hanged up the call after then.”

The deeply concerned Shebe family requires public assistance to find their daughter.
