Police have launched a manhunt after four suspects bombed a drop safe of a local petrol station in Nkoane
Road, Thabong, on February 12 at about 02:00 am in the morning.
It is alleged that the suspects held a cashier, security and petrol attendants at gun point, while they blew the safe inside the office with explosives.
They fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash from the safe.
“The suspects fled in a bakkie and BMW with NW number plates. Shots were fired but no one was
injured. We were called to the scene and a case of business robbery was opened for further investigations,” says interim Lejweleputswa police spokesperson Lorraine Earle.
Lorraine says no arrests have been made as yet, and investigation is currently ongoing.
Anyone with information is requested to contact colonel James Mahlatsi of serious and violent crime on
073 453 8990.
“They can call Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or submit a tip-off anonymously on MySAPS app,” says Lorraine.
