The 28-year-old Harrismith woman appeared before the Harrismith Magistrate Court today, December 20, for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death.
According to Maluti-a-Phofung police spokesperson Mmako Mophiring,, it is alleged that the suspect was apprehended on charges of stabbing her boyfriend during a domestic dispute.
Mophiring reiterated that at around 3am in the early hours of the morning on Monday, December 19, the Harrismith police attended to a wakeup call following the brutal murder at Tshiame B, in Harrismith.
“On arrival, we found the body of a 43-year-old male lying in a pool of blood with a stab wound in the neck,” says Mophiring.
It is alleged that the duo had an altercation inside the house which resulted in the woman stabbing her boyfriend to death.
The police immediately arrested the suspect at the crime scene.
The 28-year-old woman is currently in police custody post her appearance before the court today.
