Three suspects nabbed for plotting murder over insurance policy

Three suspects have been arrested for the allegedly attempting to plot murder on one of the suspects relative for insurance policy gain.

These suspects aged between 39 to 42-year-old, were arrested by police’ trio tast team led by Sergeant Tauru Majoe, who followed up an intelligence driven information of suspects suspected to be on the mission to murder the relative of one of the suspect’s to benefit.

“On Thursday 28 April, the three (3) suspects were travelling from Viljoenskroon headed to Bothaville where the execution of the mission was to take place,” said Fezile Dabi district spokesperson captain Malebo Khosana.

“The Trio Task Team members alerted the members of Viljoenskroon Detective and Crime Prevention Unit for back- up and headed to the house.

“They managed to arrest two males and one female suspect. The female suspect is alleged to be the instigator of the mission as she is the policy holder and relative of the victim,” he said.

All three suspects were arrested on scene.

They are due to appear before the Bothaville Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 4 May, on charges of conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder.
