Spate of continuous mass shootings leaves Virginia residents in agony!

Residents of Glen Harmony, Virginia are reeling in shock and unsettled following massive shootings over the past week.

According to reliable sources, a suspicious-looking white Chevrolet Captiva with no registration number was spotted in the area last week. Furthermore, sources conveyed that the vehicle had four African male occupants.

“I just saw the white SUV when I came from town, and it was late in the afternoon. It had no registration number on it, and the model of the vehicle is Captiva,” said one resident.

Another resident alleged that the described vehicle stopped in front of her house and two men exited. The pair however, did not take long before going back inside and taking off.

Later in the evening, Kasi Voice News received a tip-off about shots fired in the neighbourhood of Glen Harmony.

Unverified sources say that someone just randomly shot at people who were sitting on the lawn of one house in Gawie Theron Avenue. It is unclear if there were any casualties.

The motive of the shooting is unknown as the police have not yet commented on the matter.

While interviewing residents, a young man who asked to remain anonymous revealed to Kasi Voice News that, along with his family they noticed a suspicious vehicle following a blazing of gunshots in the area.

“We were walking to our neighbour’s house and a white SUV appeared in an opposite direction. It slowed down as it got closer and a back window opened. A black man showed a gun, then the window closed up and the car took off,” says the young man.

This incident follows a series of house burglaries that have plagued the prestigious neighbourhood for weeks. These burglaries include, but not limited to, night and early morning break-ins, as well as day-light burglaries.

Glen Harmony has experienced a rise in house break-ins following a sudden increased and rapid street movement by unknown persons.

Police spokesperson in the vicinity of Lejweleputswa district captain Stephen Thakeng has cautioned residents to be vigilant of any suspicious vehicles and individuals, and to alert the police.

“Individuals also need to avoid walking the streets after dark and parents should avoid sending children to the shops in the evenings,” Thakeng said.
