According to Lejweleputswa police spokesperson, Captain Stephen Thakeng, on the day of the incident, the store manager was working along with his four female colleagues. Suddenly, four unknown men entered the store, one of which was armed.
“The other three suspects did not have firearms, but covered their faces with masks,” added Thakeng.
Suspects took off with almost 300 cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The staff reported the incident at the Virginia police station. The police registered a business robbery case for further investigation.
“Anyone with information regarding the suspects may contact detective sergeant Morena Machalotsa from Provincial Organised Crime Unit on 0737291732. Alternatively, they may use the police emergency number, 0860010111,” concluded Thakeng.
