Lejweleputswa district, like any other places in the country commemorated June 16 by allowing youth to participate in the activities of the day.
Various government stakeholders like police officers of Thabong, junior community policy forum and partnership policing forum organized this youth day to celebrate those who fought for better education in 1976.
Different campaigns to promote youth and reduce crime took place yesterday, June 16.
“A cleaning campaign was organized at Sector 3 Sub-sector 10 Gugulethu. Deejay Seun and Goitsimodimo drum majorettes performed to celebrate youth day,” said Lejweleputswa district spokesperson, captain Stephen Thakeng.


Police officials spoke vividly on criminal activities pulling strings in the area of Thabong.
“Hundred pamphlets with crime hints were distributed to all who attended this celebration,” concluded Thakeng.
