Lejweleputswa elects dedicated board for Men For Change to combat GBV

Lejweleputswa district has took an initiative on Tuesday, June 7, to elect men who will participate in Men For Change.

Men For Change is an initiative that is aimed at fighting domestic and sexual violence. In this initiative fathers and men in general could participate. The program has more than 20 years being active.

The Free State police spokesperson Brigadier Motansi Makhele initiated the elective meeting and gave a description Men For Change.

Officer Tshepo Sejake was elected as the chairperson, position of deputy chairperson was given to constable Lucky Tshabangu, Mathews Msimanga was elected as a secretary.

Deputy secretary position was given to Mthimkhulu Kopa, sergeant Masopha was elected as the treasure, sergeant Dillane Maila was elected as Public Relations Officer and lastly, sergeant Mokete Mpakane was added as an additional member.

“The elected chairperson warrant officer Tshepo Sejake shared his commitment and that of the entire committee.

“He pledged to unite the two structures and to ensure that all projects are conducted together with vigor and put to the district to its high performance zone,” said Lejweleputswa spokesperson, captain Stephen Thakeng,

Brigadier Cezulu wished the newly elected team well for their new journey.
