As the country observes Women’s month, various organisations are championing the call to educate women of social factors challenging women.
In Thabong, SAPS unit’ Partnership Policing held a hybrid even in the morning of Saturday, August 20, where women across Thabong area braved the cold weather to be taught about crime prevention.
The event was held at His Righteousness And Justice Kingdom Church and various stakeholders that includes departments of health, social development, as well as entrepreneurs, beauty and fitness organisations who honoured the invitation.
Crimes such as domestic violence, sexual assault and gender-based violence (GBV) were amongst a top of the agenda.
Participants at this event shared their own experiences of abusive relationships.
Women were advised to seek help whenever they are abused in their relationships, in a bid to avoid being killed or depressed.
At the end of the function, pamphlets were distributed to educate women and children about these alarming crimes.
