As part of commemorating Youth Day, dedicated youth were empowered and graced with top junior positions for the betterment of their communities.
Hennenman police officers commemorated youth day by introducing Junior Leadership of the program at Kheleng High School in Henneman.
Sebabatso Tsotsotso, a grade 11 learner from Kheleng High was appointed Junior District commissioner of Lejweleputswa District.
Along side Tsotsotso, the young optimistic Rethabile Thabane was elected as the junior chairperson for Community Policing Forum (CPF), while Relebohile Monareng was installed as junior visible policing.
Commander of Hennenman throne was provided to Tokelo Ntsodo, with junior executive member of CPF handed to Blessing Tsosane.

The Junior Leadership Project is an empowering community initiative, that provides an opportunity to invest in young people.
It is an empowerment tool that primarily aims to inculcate leadership, mentoring, moral and ethical values in young people.
It is found under ideologies of building resistance and resilience among young people to combat crime and violence.
Learners who participate in the project competes through four levels of competition.
Everything starts with the appointment of Junior Station Commanders that progress to District and Provincial Commanders.
Police commissioners appoints the junior national commissioner at the end of the competition.
