Lejweleputswa District’s Women in blue from various police stations, conducted a tracing operation to celebrate Women’s Month.
This operation ‘Basadi’ started from 25 until the 26 August 2021.
At least 72 people were arrested for crimes associated with assault common, possession of dagga, crime injuria, shopliftings, thefts, domestic violence, contravention of protection order, burglaries, attempted murder, house breaking with the intention to assault, rapes, malicious damage to property, murder of police official and theft of motor vehicles.
The Acting District Commissioner of Lejweleputswa, Brigadier Mzondi Mojafi applauded this initiative of women in blue especially Detective Services within the District of Lejweleputswa.
“As we celebrate Women’s Month it’s clear that women can also make the difference in squeezing the space to zero,” says Brigadier Mzondi Mojafi.
