Provincial Traffic Department along with Bothaville SAPS conducted a roadblock on Friday, 07 January 2022 from 14:00-18:00.
According to Captain Thakeng, the four-hour roadblock was focused on drugs; stolen live stock; illegal firearms; unroadworthy vehicles and driving under the influence of liquor.
During the operation, members stopped and searched 140 vehicles and 187 persons which led to the issue of 12 fines.
This roadblock ensured police visibility and the protection of law abiding citizens and crime prevention.
