The district’s communications office says, Boshof SAPS held a roadblock on Sunday, 26 December 2021, under Safer Festive Season Operations.
Members held the roadblock to ensure police visibility; safety of law abiding citizens and also to send a clear message to criminals,” stated Captain Stephen Thakeng.
Boshof Station Commander, Captain Lefu Thamae, led the successful operation. He was joined by his team of SAPS members.
During the operation, members stopped and searched 42 vehicles and 135 persons. They also issued 12 fines amounting to R15 600.
