The Welkom Public Order Policing operationalised information received by the Crime Intelligence to arrest a woman allegedly dealing in drugs.
According to the Lejweleputswa police spokesperson, captain Stephen Thakeng, the police identified a house in Mabula street, Makeleketla, Winburg, yesterday afternoon, on 21 June.
“Upon arrival, the police found the owner sitting outside, then requested to search the premises and received permission,” added Thakeng.
While searching, the police found the following drugs hidden inside the cupboard: seven full Mandrax tablets; three halves and eight quoters along with cash that amounts to R110.
As a result, the 47-year-old woman was arrested for dealing in drugs. The suspect will appear before the Winburg Magistrate Court Friday, on 23 June.
