A 39-year-old man is due to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate Court on Monday 14 February after he was arrested by Mangaung Metro cops for meddling with drugs.
Bloemfontein police spokesperson colonel Thabo Covane said the police followed an intelligence lead over a drug dealing operation in Bloemspruit Phase 6, just outside Bloemfontein.
“Two-hundred-and-four (204) small bankies containing Chrystal Meth, one (1) transparent ice plastic bag full of Chrystal Meth weighing. Khat drug, four (4) full; twenty-four (24) halves; and twenty-four (24) quarters of mandrax tablets were found hidden in the bedroom,” Covane said the police seized bags of drugs in the suspect’s houe.
“A large amount of money believed to have been gained through sale of drugs was also confiscated. The total street value of seized drugs is estimated at R31 000.00,” he said.
