Welkom SAPS members conducted foot patrols to ensure police visibility and crime prevention inside Goldfields Mall, Welkom.
Involved members included Warrant Officers Rudolph De Lange; Renate Douglous; Constable Meitjie Jacobs; and Sergeant Sharon Majikela.
Members distributed pamphlets to shoppers in the mall. These pamphlets had Domestic Violence; Victim Empowerment Services; and Rape awareness tips.

“We will continue ensuring our visibility at our Malls and CBD to minimize and eradicate criminal activities during this Festive Season,” stated Lejweleputswa District Corporate Communication, Captain Stephen Thakeng.

Captain Thakeng also warned residents to cautious and stated that police were at their disposal.
“We warn residents to be on high alert and ensure that they are safe. They must not hesitate to call the Police for any suspicious looking vehicles and persons,” stated Captain Thakeng.
