The Thabong Public Order Policing Reaction Team was deployed to Boitumelo Mall to ensure that shoppers feel safe while on their shopping spree.
Given the commence of 16 Days of Activism, and recent gender based violence and sexual abuse related campaign launches. Welkom SAPS went an extra mile in vising Boitumelo Mall for visibility and safety. The presence of police members in the streets minimizes the space for criminals and their activities.
Lejweleputswa District Corporate Communication, Captain Stephen Thakeng said, “In this Festive Season, we continue to create a safe environment for Lejweleputswa District Policing precinct.”
Lejweleputswa District Commissioner, Major General Lerato Molale, emphasized that there should be accountability on residents’ side.
“Residents must not look away when someone commits crime within their vicinity. They should inform the SAPS through Police Emergency number 0860010111 or anonymously on MySAPS App,” added Major General Molale.
“We are prepared to squeeze criminals’ space to zero. Together We Can Do More To Eradicate Crime!” – concluded Captain Thakeng.
