Welkom Flying Squad brings early Christmas to orphanages

Welkom Flying Squad members organized, and contributed to gift children; empower them; and have a fun day at Funtasia, Welkom.

Lieutenant Colonels Conrad Fouche and Nosizi Mangani led Welkom Flying Squad members; also known as Emergency Response Services; and contributed to put a smile on 57 children’s faces from Merafong; Welkom Jeug Sentrum; and House of Hope.

SAPS members then played various games at Funtasia with the children.

House mothers from the orphanages were touched by the SAPS members’ gesture to show a caring hand to the children.

Members also donated clothing; shoes; toys; sweets; and pampers for toddlers.

Lieutenant Colonels Fouche and Mangani, with ERS members of and gifts packs for the children.

Lieutenant Colonel Fouche also empowered Merafong boys not to be involved in illegal activities; and use of drugs; but to be committed to their studies; report bullying at school; and conduct themselves in an orderly manner.

“Arresting it’s our mandate, but we also see needs within our society thus this gesture to contribute even from our pockets,” stated Captain Stephen Thakeng in a report.

Lejweleputswa District Commissioner, Major General Lerato Molale, applauded members Emergency Response Services (ERS) members for their generosity generous.
