Two suspects are set to appear before Ventersburg Court tomorrow, 17 June, after busted for dealing with dagga.
According to Lejweleputswa spokesperson, captain Stephen Thakeng, the Welkom task team (police officers) received information from Crime Intelligence about people who are dealing with dagga in the area.
“Then it was operationalized and a house in Mmamahabane was approached and a request was made to search and the owner granted permission,” said Thakeng.
“While members were busy searching the following were found: 89 small zip lock of dagga with R30 cash in his possession.
A 25-year-old man was arrested for dealing with dagga,” he added.

On the same day of the incident, police officers arrested a 28-year-old African man who was found with 12 ammunition of R5 riffle at his home.
