Manhunt launched following woman’s rape by trio in Kutloanong

Trio gang attacked a woman with her male friend and raped the woman. Police arrested two and the third one remains on the loose and unknown.

The 29-year-old woman was with her male friend, coming from a tavern that had closed headed to another.

When they passed by house number 215 Block 1, Kutloanong, a notorious African male with two accomplices approached the pair.

One of the suspects attacked the male friend and attempted to stab him with aknife, but he managed to escape, leaving his female friend with trio suspects.

The three men dragged the woman by her blouse to house number 348 as she screamed for help.

When the notorious man’s mother and brother heard screams in their yard, they tried to help the victim, but they were assaulted.

Neighbors helplessly watched as the men forced the woman into a room with no lights and the trio took turns raping her.

After a while, two suspects left and the victim stayed with the third suspect who’s house it was. As a result, she managed to fight back and escape.

The victim walked to Kutloanong Satellite Police Station to report the rape ordeal.

According to Captain Thakeng, Odendaalsrus Police members managed to arrest two suspects aged 39 and 43.

“The third suspect remains on the loose and unknown. The two arrested will soon appear before Odendaalsrus Magistrate Court,” informed Captain Thakeng.
