Police nabs trio wanted suspects for house robbery, stolen items and rape

On Tuesday, 14 September 2021, members of Welkom Public Order Policing were conducting crime combating duties when information was followed up and led to three suspects arrested for house robbery, possession of suspected stolen items and rape.

Members of Welkom Public Order Policing vehicle patrols and Crime Prevention in Thabong and Hennenman when they received information about these wanted suspects. Information was followed up which led to the arrest of a 34 year old man for a House Robbery that took place during September 2021 in Thabong. In a separate incident in Thabong, a 27-year-old woman was arrested for possession of stolen property. The third incident was a rape case that was reported at Hennenman that also was committed during September 2021. A 31-year-old suspect was arrested in connection to the case.

Trio suspects will appear separately in Welkom and Hennenman Magistrate Courts respectively.

The District Commissioner of Lejweleputswa, Major General Lerato Molale applauded these members of POP Platoon 3 for ensuring that wanted suspects were arrested to face the might of the law.
