A joint operation led to the discovery of the fence belonging to Matjhabeng Municipality, and three suspects arrested.
Crime Intelligence (CI) received information from residents about individuals with the fence as the one used by Matjhabeng Municipality on 04 November 2021.
CI then engaged the Illicit Copper Cable Reaction Team; Matjhabeng Security personnel : and Welkom Public Order Policing Task Team, under the command of Warrant Officer Thabo Booy.
Teams approached three identified houses and found 17 3x2m Clearview fence valued at R20 000 at K9 Kutloanong, Odendaalsrus.
Police found fences already put to fence their respective yards.
Business Burglary case has been registered after the fence theft from Matjhabeng Municipality premises in March 2020 in Kutloanong.
SAPS members arrested three suspects, aged 43, 54 and 56 for possession of suspected stolen properties.
Suspects appeared before Odendaalsrus Magistrate Court on 08 November 2021.
