Mothibi Joseph Ntabe (43) appeared before Bloemfontein Regional Court on Wednesday, 06 October 2021, for contravening the Tax Administration Act.
A preliminary probe by the South African Revenue Services (SARS) uncovered Ntabe’s fraudulent activities that cost them more than R1 million from 2011-2014.
The matter then was reported to Bloemfontein Hawks Serious Commercial Crime Investigation.
The accused was first arrested on Thursday, 06 December 2018. He appeared in court on several occasions in connection to his recent conviction.
The court sentenced Ntabe to eight years imprisonment of which three was suspended. Hewill serve five years direct imprisonment.
