To serve for five years in office is the newly elected committee of Community Policing Forum.
Best Mnyamane and Lieutenant Colonel Limakatso Qakoshe facilitated CPF election process on Tuesday, 16 November 2021.
The meeting took place at Phahamisanang Primary School, Meloding and the community elected the executive committee.
The establishment of a CPF in Meloding is an achievement for Meloding SAPS given that we are approaching the festive season, and we criminal acts are likely to increase.
CPF is a legal community structure established according to the South African Police Service (SAPS) Act.
It’s mandate is to facilitate community–police relations within a specific police station boundary. It serves serves as the community’s mouthpiece with the police and vice versa on policing, and other relevant safety matters.
This forum’s members are elected during formal election processes. They get their mandate from the community to execute the legal powers and functions.
