Four suspects are still on loose after a family was hijacked at a gunpoint earlier this morning in Sasolburg.
Fezile Dabi District spokesperson, captain Malebo Khosana, said the 50-year-old man, the victim, wanted to stop by the Kiosk to buy something with his family when he was approached by four heavily armed men.
“The complainant alleged that he was driving with his wife and child when he decided to stop at the Kiosk to buy something,” Khosana said.
“Upon alighting his vehicle he was approached by four males speaking Zulu and pointed him with a firearm.
“One suspect then hit the victim with a firearm forcing him inside the car boot however the wife pleaded with the suspects to let them go,” detailed Khosana.
It is alleged the suspects flee from the scene and left the victims stranded on the road.
The detailed description of the car hijacked is a white X5 BMW with registration number HTB 145 FS, estimated to be worth R250 000.
“Anyone who have seen the vehicle or have any information may kindly contact constable Kgaugelo Muvhango on 076 791 5740 or MySAPS App for anonymous tip-off,” pleaded Khosana.
