Meet Kutloano Moropyane: Youngest published author with two books

Kutloano Moropyane, an 18-year-old resident of Moganyaka, Limpopo, has achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the youngest published author of two books.

His passion for writing began at the tender age of three, and he has continued to nurture his talent ever since. Currently, Kutloano is a dedicated student in grade 11 at Ngwanakwena Secondary School.

Kutloano believes that being an author is a gift from God as he have been writing almost all his life.

His first book titled ‘Behind Any Success There’s Struggle’ was published in 2023. ‘Behind Any Success There’s Struggle’ depicts the life of a young girl who was raised by her grandmother because she lost her mother when she was very young.

She was from a disadvantage family, sometimes they would go to bed without eating. Regardless of the challenges she had faced, she worked hard and went to the university.

“Behind Any Success There’s Struggle is inspired by poverty  which everyone hate and work hard to get out of it”, says Kutloano.

Kutloano have published his second book called Love Is Unbreakable this year. “Love Is Unbreakable depicts a story of two lovers who does not allowed anything to get between them”, says Kutloano.

He further says that Love Is Unbreakable portrays parents who want to choose life partners for their children and find it hard to accept partners that their children choose for themselves.

His advice to other young authors is that they must have a positive mindset and be willing to learn each day of their journey.

Esther Lekalaka and Thomas Makaneta are his mentor. He has been recognized as one of the youngest authors in South Africa.

Kutloano wishes to see himself as one of the greatest writers in the world like William Shakespeare.
