Vredefort: A culpable homicide was opened for further investigations after a 21-year-old woman lost her life in a motor vehicle accident that was reported on Saturday, 28 August 2021 in Vredefort.
Vredefort SAPS members received a complaint to attend an accident scene on R59 road on Vredefort/Parys direction.
Members alleged that on arrival, a white lady was already lying on the ground with members of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attending to her. She was certified dead on the scene. She was identified as Bianca Van Wyk, 21.
Allegations further point out that on the other side of the road there was a motor vehicle, a VW Polo with FS registration number plate which has overturned.
The information received also points out that there were other two occupants of the involved motor vehicle.
They were both taken to hospital for medical treatment. The deceased victim is a resident of Vredefort.
