Motorbiker sustains slight injuries after falling from a bike!

Parys: A male motorbike fell off his bike on Saturday, 28 August 2021 at about 12:40 on R59 in Parys.

Police were called to the scene which occurred at about 15 km from Parys direction of Sasolburg.

On arrival they were informed about allegations that a 30 year old motorbike lost control of it and fell.

According to eyewitnesses, the fall came about after two other motor bikers passed a truck moving slowly on the left lane.

“An unknown black VW Polo which was driving behind the truck swerved to the right to pass.

Unfortunately the way for involved motor biker was blocked, denying him space to pass, he then tried to overtake the truck on the left side of the road which is where he skidded on the gravel and fell off his bike,” a statement read from local authorities.

He was instantly attended by paramedics.

However, he was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measures to ascertain neck injuries.

No other motorist was involved in a collision nor injuries reported. 

Accident report was compiled and no criminal case was opened.
