Theunissen police have asked for the community’s help to find relatives of the slain man found in a decomposed state near Cecilia farm next to the railway line in Theunissen on Monday, 9 May.
Police spokesperson captain Stephen Thakeng said that a passer-by informed the police about the body discovered in a farm.
“Officials then responded instantly to the scene, where the body was found in a prone position and already in a decomposed state,” Thakeng said.
Thakeng said preliminary investigation reveals that the deceased was known as Sabata with unknown surname, and he originates from Botshabelo.
The deceased was found wearing a black jacket, a black, red belt, faded blue jean trouser, a navy blue bucket hat and a pair Grasshopper shoes.
