Police announced on Tuesday, they had launched a “massive search operation” for a missing Thabong teenager – three days after she was last seen.
In a statement shared with Kasi Voice News, Lejweleputswa district police spokesperson captain Stephen Thakeng said
that Zimi Mtshawulana aged 18-years-old left a written note and disappeared from home.
“[She] Allegedly left her home on 27 February, following the R100 note saga that went missing,” statement read.
“This comes after the money disappeared and she was blamed, this is where she threatened to kill herself stating that they will never trace her body,” said Thakeng.
“When the mother came back from the society, her daughter was nowhere to be found and she left a note written in Xhosa.
Briefly, she wrote that she is going to kill herself and her body will never be found, because she was blamed that she stole money,” addressed Thakeng.
“The child is still missing and the search continues,” said Thakeng.
She was last seen wearing a blue jean, light green top and white tekkie shoes.
Members of the public are urged to locate Zimi, who’s a Grade 11 learner from Lekgarietse Secondary School.
“Anyone with information leading to the tracing of this missing child is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Sello Mpedi of Bronville Detective Services at 073 479 5572 or contact Police Emergency number 08600 10111.
