Cops pleads with community to find relatives of man found in decomposed state

The naked decomposing body of an unidentified person was discovered embedded in Oosfontein farm, Theunissen last year in November, and since then, the police have not found close relatives.

Lejweleputswa police spokesperson captain Stephen Thakeng says, the police filed an inquest after the body of a man was found lying next to a small tree in Oosfontein farm in November 2021.

“The police received a complaint about a deceased naked body that was found by a man riding a horse and tending his cattle on an open veld.

“Upon arrival of Theunissen SAPS members at about 11:06, the body was lying faced upward and it seemed to have been there for at least three months,” he said.

It is alleged that the body, had no clothes and only the pitch black hair was visible.

“Should anyone have a missing relative, detective sergeant Thabiso Molelengoana of Theunissen Detective Services can be contacted at cellphone number 078 355 7997 or SAPS Crime Stop number 08600 10111,” said Thakeng.
