The police are seeking relatives of a man who was discovered inside one of the tanks at Thabong sewage plant last year in September 2021.
According to the police report, no one came forward to claim the deceased thus far, hence police seek for relatives.
“The deceased is estimated to be between 20-30 years old and wore black pants; black jacket; black boots and had a grey Puma bag on his back,” said Lejweleputswa spokesperson captain Stephen Thakeng.
“Because no one claimed the deceased, police kept the corpse at Welkom Government Mortuary,” said Thakeng.
He further pleaded with members of the community to assist the police with information regarding the deceased or his relatives may contact Detective Warrant Officer AC de Lange of Welkom Detective Services on 0828219227 or Police Emergency number 0860010111.
