54-year-old business man arrested after allegedly raping five girls and a boy in separate incidents in Dealesville.
Rape incidents allegedly took place from 2019 until being reported on 28 October 2021. Victims are aged 15-17 years.
Police registered cases of Rape for all six victims.
Lejweleputswa District FCS Detective Sergeant, Mpho Kotsamere arrested the suspect on Thursday, 04 November 2021.
Suspect appeared before Dealesville Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 09 November 2021 and applied for bail.
About 150 school educators and learners stood in front of the Magistrates Court with placards, stating “No bail” in for the suspect and “Justice must prevail.”

Dealesville Visible Policing and Public Order Policing members monitored the picketing which happened to be peaceful.
The Magistrate postponed the case to Thursday, 11 November 2021, continuation of bail application by Jose Da Matos.
No reported incidents arrised from the picketing until educators and learners peacefully dispersed.
“We will ensure the investigation is thoroughly conducted to ensure an airtight case against the suspect. It is also so that the suspect can be found guilty as charged for these multiple rapes of minors,” says Lejweleputswa District Commissioner, Major General Lerato Molale.
