10 arrested suspects appears in court for drug dealing!

The ten (10) suspected drug dealers made their first appearance before the Kroonstad Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 04 April 2022, after they were nabbed by the police last week Friday.

According to Fezile Dabi District police spokesperson, captain Malebo Khosana, the alleged suspects went to the dock on separate charges.

“These charges includes dealing with drugs, being in possession of drugs and dagga and for illegal immigration,” said Khosana.

“The court postponed the case to Wednesday, 13 April 2021, for bail application,” added Khosana.

The seven male suspects are Justin Igbueka (40), Anthony Izuchukwu (35), Frank Nzeubgu (35), Johnson Chuckwebe (41), Albert Asomaning (36), Eric Amankwa (31) and Kingsley Orji (30). Three other suspects are females, namely Idah Sebolao (22), Dimakatso Mkhwanazi (33) and Hadio Kgoarai (36).

The ten suspects were caught with drugs in their premises near the Kroonstad’s long distance taxi rank by the Kroonstad’s Trio Task Team of police officers on Friday, 1 April.

The arrests came from a joint operation led by the Free State organised crime unit.

Captain Khosana said, the task team received a tip-off of drug-dealing in the area.

“Teams arrived in time amid the suspects’ performance of their daily drug transactions,” detailed Khosana.

The police recovered drugs worth R350 000, this includes drugs such, Mandrax, Crystal Meth, CAT, nyaope and dagga.

The authorities also seized R120 000 in cash from the premises.
