Virginia police are searching for the driver of a light motor vehicle motorist and relatives of the deceased man who was found in Virginia-way next to Nkandla on Saturday, 16 April.
According to reports, the deceased was hit by an unknown motor vehicle which did not stop after the accident.
It is alleged that the fugitive fled the scene after the accident,
Lejweleputswa police spokesperson captain Stephen Thakeng said the driver of the car, disappeared from the accident scene before the police arrived.
“The deceased is light in complexion, slender, 1,4 in height. He is believed to be between the ages of 19 and 25 years old,” said Thakeng.
“He was wearing a black trouser, a grey jacket, black shoes (Grasshopper) with a red and white hat (spotty),” he added.
