Notorious ‘house-breaking’ thief dies in hospital!

A man suspected of alleged series of house robberies and murders in Qwa Qwa dies in hospital.

The suspect is one of the two suspects who were allegedly shot during house robbery at Phazama section of Phamong Village in Qwa Qwa, and also linked to cases of house robberies and murders of the students at Botjhabela Village.

The 27-year-old was arrested on September 2021 for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunitions, house robberies and attempted murder both at Tseki and Phuthaditjhaba cases.

He was arrested and kept under police guard at hospital since September 2021, for medical treatment whereby he was placed in Intensive Care Unit.

An Inquest has been registered in this regard to determine the cause of his death.

The name of the suspect cannot be released until his next of kin has been informed and positively identified him.

The other suspect in the same case is at prison awaiting trial. He was discharged a week ago.
