Many tertiary students in South Africa become wrongful affected by NSFAS N+rule system each an every year, this usually ditch them on their final years of study.
Kwanele Ngubane is a 22-year-old lady who was also wrongful affected by NSFAS N+rule, however, the resilient entrepreneur resembles herself with the words ‘where there’s a will there’s a way’.
The BSc Chemistry and Physics student told Kasi Voice News that, being wrongful affected pushed her to turn her baking passion into a business now known as Butteflies Muffieworld , where she sells fresh and delicious muffins.
“Being dumped by NSFAS or having no funding when only few modules are left in order to finish my degree made me aware of the things I used to love and enjoy doing but have forgotten about, like baking,” said the entrepreneur.

Ngubane further said that one of her biggest is to be able to pay rent, buy food and also use the money to go to campus.
The University of the Free State academia highlighted that although her business strive, service delivery in Qwaqwa remain a main hindering factor in her business.
“The main challenge is electricity, since Maluti-a-Phofung municipality has electricity issues,” said Ngubane.
Kwanele who partake as a chemistry assistant said that her setback it is time management as she has to focus on academics, student job and a muffin business.
In future, she perceives herself owning several coffee shops acros the country where they could serve tea/coffee with her delicious muffins.
Lastly, her pivotal role is to give it back to the disadvantaged communities by opening a foundation that will inspire business-minded people like her.
