Meet 14-year-old entrepreneur Emihle Qwabe who spearhead nail salon!

The ability to use our hands to make something valuable is an inspiration to many nowadays.

It is very rare to find a teenager these days who is partially independent.

All thanks to hard lockdown, some people discovered their hobbies and capabilities.

Emihle Qwabe is a 14-year-old who is one of people who found a hobby of doing nails that made her to make money as a teenager.

“I realized I was passionate about nails back in 2020 during the national lockdown. I always enjoyed playing around with nails at a very young age,” said self-motivated entrepreneur.

The grade 9 learner told Kasi Voice News that it was indeed a game-changer to take advice from her father about creating a poster late last year.

“My dad told me to create a poster which I took seriously and that’s when the whole business idea started. I got a number of clients,” she added.

Emihle further said that, her family is very supportive in her business in a way that they supply her with most of products and built a working space for her.

Emihle highlighted to Kasi Voice News why did she name her business Mihle’s Weekend Nail Bar.

“My business name is based on the reason that I would be available during weekends only,” she explained.

Emihle’s main challenge is losing some clients due to her availability. It sometimes becomes a turmoil, since other clients prefer to come on weekdays other than on weekends.

Emihle’s achievement in her business other than getting clients is being interviewed by Sibizi magazine and radio interview from Tru FM.

She sees herself owning a beauty bar worldwide in the next decades.

“I would really like all my business to be successful and hopefully I’ll be training people too,

“I would also like to have my own nail polish brand and a make-up brand that will target and and work-on skin problems ” she concluded.
