A white Toyota Quantum was hijacked from its 29-year-old on Monday, 20 September 2021, in Frankfort.
The complainant reported that he was driving a white Toyota Quantum with registration number HRB 334 FS. He alleged he was travelling with his mother.
The complainant further pointed out that he stopped at a stop sign in Beckwith Street, Frankfort to join the R34 road. Suddenly three males, wearing black face masks appeared, one of which stood in front of the vehicle, the other went to the passenger side where his mother was and the last one came to the driver’s side. The one on the driver’s side pointed a firearm at him, opened the door and pulled him out of the vehicle. The 28-year-old fell to the ground. The other one also pulled his mother out of the vehicle. Hijackers then entered into the vehicle and drove away on R34 road.
He and his mother went to Mafube SAPS to report the incident.
The value of the stolen vehicle is R502 000.
