Dr Mosebi Surgery robbed at gunpoint, Thabong police launch manhunt

A receptionist and her colleague at Doctor Mosebi Surgery came under siege, after they were robbed cash, cellphone and a laptop in Thabong, said the police.

Captain Stephen Thakeng said two unidentified men held the receptionist at gunpoint after pretending to be looking for someone.

“The incident took place last week Thursday, at about 19:25, when a receptionist employed at Doctor Mosebi surgery was behind the counter and noticed an unknown African man entering the premises.

“Then he cocked the firearm and pointed at the complainant and cash was robbed, victim’s cellphone black Huawei P40 Lite,” Thakeng said.

“During the robbery, the male colleague appeared from another office, he was pointed with a gun and ordered to lie on the floor,” he added.

The suspect also fled away with the laptop.

Thakeng said suspects are still on the loose and residents are requested to assist in tracing these suspects.

“The residents must inform the police instantly as a doctor is rendering essential services to the residents,” cautioned Thakeng.

Thakeng said case of armed robbery was registered for further investigation.
