The Frankfort police received a complaint of couple’s fight at Phahameng Section in Namahadi, Frankfort, on Sunday, 03 April.
One officer attended to the complaint. Upon arrival, he found a woman on a chair holding a man who laid on the ground.
According to Fezile Dabi police spokesperson, Captain Malebo Khosana, the officer pointed out that he noticed that the man was bleeding from the mouth and had sustained an open wound to the chest.
“The paramedics certified the 46-year-old who turned out be the woman’s husband dead on the scene,” added Khosana.
During the interview with the woman about what happened, she explained that she had a fight with her husband outside the house. She then alleged that a group of unknown people entered the yard and came to her rescue.
Furthermore, the woman claimed that after the group separated from her husband, he fell down and the gang ran away.
The wife could not give a clear account on how the victim sustained the fatal injury.
As a result, the police arrested the suspect on the same day and she will face murder charges before the Frankfort Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 05 April 2022.
The police said probe to the case continues.
