Discovery horror: Alexandra school pupil discovers dead body hidden under classroom

Learners at M.C Weiler primary school are still battling to cope with a shocking and devastating discovery of a dead body found under mobile classroom in Alexandra, Gauteng.

The Gauteng education department, said pupils were playing football inside the school premises during lunch break when their ball went under a classroom used to teach the Grade 5s, and this is where learners unearthed a gruesome discovery.

“We wish to confirm that learners from M.C Weiler primary school discovered what is alleged to be a human body underneath a mobile classroom within school premises,” Gauteng education said in a statement.

It is alleged that teachers were alerted of the discovered body and the police were called to the scene to clear the scene.

MEC for Education in the province, Panyaza Lesufi said, this gruesome discovery will not halt the school operation, as studies will still continue, however learners will get counselling for traumatic experience.

“While we await further reports from the police regarding this incident, learning at the school will continue with necessary psychosocial support,” said Lesufi.
