Cops launch manhunt after body of 14-year-old found raped, murdered in Meloding bush

The lifeless body of a 14-year-old Meloding girl, Relebohile Gift Rankali, was discovered by a dog at the bush next to the slime dam in Meloding, Virginia.

According to police spokesperson captain Stephen Thakeng, a dog barking led to the gruesome discovery of the body of a teen girl on the 12 May.

“At about 15:00, a passer-by heard a dog barking, and followed it, then he discovered this body of teen girl,” Thakeng clarified the incident.

“Upon arrival in the bush next to a slime dam in V1 Virginia, the body of a teenage girl was found half naked, hit with stones on her face, as big stones with blood stains were next to her lifeless bod, with face swollen,” he said.

The Virginia police members were informed of the shocking discovery and they instantly responded to the crime scene.

Thakeng said, the preliminary investigation revealed that the teen was strangled, “A case of murder and rape was then registered for further investigation,” he explained.

Thakeng explained that the police are on the hunt for the alleged suspects, and residents are requested to assist the police with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects.
